My career path into the tech world is non-traditional and that's helped teach me different skills along the way. In different opportunities throughout my career, I have felt that being a young woman in the tech space left me at a disadvantage. In other opportunities I had seen the discrimination that women face in this industry. Through those previous experiences, I have been able to understand what is important to me in leading others and working with senior leaders, particularly men.
In this chat, I want you to walk away with:
- Tactics to gain upfront respect and credibility from senior leaders
- Skills to build a network from the ground up as a young woman in tech
- Ways to use assertive communication in order to be strategically outspoken as an IC
