How do I overcome the impostor syndrome, chronic feelings of unworthiness, and chronic underemployment? I’m over 40 and I have a nontraditional background. I’ve mostly held entry-level positions in different fields/industries and feel that I’m stuck in the entry-level limbo. I do have specialized skills and interests, but they often require entrepreneurial skills and grit. As much as I enjoy the freedom of being my own boss, I find freelance life to be painfully challenging. I feel that I do best in a supportive environment working with a company that allows me flexibility and autonomy (i.e., being a remote employee). I’ve been trying to find a full-time job for a long time to no avail (constantly having companies ghost me) despite following all the advice of career coaches. My self-worth takes a hit.
