I'm a senior executive currently in the midst of a long-term job search. Most recently, I helped build and run a start-up but was laid off due to outsourcing. This is the 3rd time I've been laid off and the two previous times I was on the wrong side of the market. I would love to work for another start-up and have been reaching out to CEO's directly but have not had any luck. I'd LOVE to start my own business but have no idea doing what and at times lack confidence because my background is broad across multiple functions but not deep in any specific area. How do you figure out that next step when getting hired is not panning out? Thanks!
