Hello! I actually do have limited technical background but I'm not currently working in IT. I'm a technical writer with web development, graphic design, and QA knowledge and I'm interested in moving into an IT career and not sure where to start. Because I already have experience writing technical manuals, being able to my skills to other technical documentation seems like a good way to get in. However I do not have the specific application skills (DITA, Robohelp, C++, etc). What advise can you give someone like me who has transferrable skills to switch to a career in IT?
