I had heard that the gaming industry hires and fires based on production for games. For example, a video game company is working on a brand new game that takes a long time to complete. Once the game is done they no longer need all of the staff that worked on it and they are let go. I have seen this happen to video game artists. Does this also happen to the IT department?
