I have been a female in IT for 25 years so other women always suggest that I should mentor girls in STEM. I don't feel like I strongly connect to girls (except my own) because since I was a kid I have always mostly been around boys/men. I sometimes wonder if I am part of the cultural problem because I don't know how to deal with women at work. I am here to learn to work better with everyone, not necessarily by stereotyping but to recognize common communication patterns and how I might work with them better.
