Shweta Patira
Shweta Patira
Head of Core Creator Engineering

I have spent 8+ years (of 14 overall years) in Tech leading Software teams, 5+yrs leading leaders while leading business lines. I’ve now built teams from scratch, grown them and led large teams in multiple companies - from tech giants to pre-ipo startups (Microsoft, HBO, Coupang, LinkedIn). I love diving into new spaces and have built up domain knowledge in Media, AR/VR, Search, Creators, Analytics, Ads & Data platforms, Marketing areas and more. I've led geographically distributed teams (across North America, Europe, Asia) that have driven hundreds of Millions in Revenue for the business by delivering high quality distributed systems. I've led cross-organizational company wide initiatives that run across business divisions to deliver multiple 0 to 1 products under competing timelines.

As a people leader I’m particularly keen on understanding each of my employee's life motivations, and use that to steer individual career paths. During my tenure, I've coached dozens of individuals through career advancement, multiple leaders through performance management and organizational design for their teams.

Today, As the Head of core Creator Engineering at LinkedIn I lead incredible engineering leaders accountable for areas like Sharing flow on LinkedIn, Creator Analytics & Creator Mode, Newsletters, Articles.
As a prior Senior Manager with Media Engineering I led passionate teams building Video Consumer Experiences - specifically Live Streaming and Stories for LinkedIn.
As Director of Engineering at Coupang during their pre-IPO phase, I led Ad Platforms & Experiences, my teams accountable for upwards of hundreds of Million in Revenue each year.
As Senior Engineering manager at HBO digital products I delivered spectacular experiences to HBO fans - specifically hbo.com, marketing tools, data platforms.
At Microsoft, I launched our first generation of Holographic Apps and Hololens; Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality are spaces dear to me. I also played a big part in delivering Media experiences for Bing.com, Microsoft's Search Engine.

Over the years I've developed a keen sense of what makes a good product, a good venture-bet and a good investment.

My social impact is intentional and focused on Equity & Opportunity for all - I've served on Boards of Non-Profits while also spearheading large scale Diversity Programs across tech.
