In this conversation with Kaley Young, Female Diversity Program Manager, Raytheon Technologies; Helen Sanchez, Founder of Tanagui LLC, and HR Consultant Joan Smith, we examine how to combat ageism in the workplace, jump back into the career market after a lengthy hiatus, and reinvent yourself, no matter what age you might be. With over 20 years of recruitment experience, Helen Sanchez founded Tanagui LLC to offer services that result in breakthrough resumes and interview mastery for women over 40. Over the past six years, Joan has dedicated her time and energy to staying current with relevant HR trends and sharing them as an HR blogger, career podcaster, and FB live career guest speaker. This conversation will be moderated by Cristina Duke, Head of Sales at PowerToFly.

She is the founder of Tanagui Career Consultants, whose primary focus is to offer services that result in breakthrough resumes and interview mastery for women over 40.

Over the last 6 years, Joan has dedicated her time and energy to stay current with relevant HR trends and sharing them as an HR blogger, career podcaster, and FB live career guest speaker. She has 4.5 years of recent experience in administration supporting C-suite leaders and in her roles, Joan has consistently partnered closely with HR to collaborate on different initiatives. Her experiences have been in training and administration where she served as an HR Liaison in her last role with Arlington County Government for 2.5 years. Joan has had the pleasure of communicating Wellness Initiatives to her colleagues and engaging coworkers in various wellness activities and assisting in onboarding. Furthermore, Joan has 4 additional years of supporting C-suite leaders to include an HR Director, Think Tank President, and a VP in the Insurance Industry.

Hillary Black is a globally-recognized Talent Acquisition and Leadership Development executive who brings a unique, nurturing style to her talent management practice; whether she is working with a recent graduate or a senior-level executive. She fosters efficiency, integrity, and trust throughout the recruitment and coaching process. Always interested in building new skills, in recent years, Hillary received her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and is currently taking course work in Emotional Intelligence. This experience, combined with a Bachelors in Psychology, gives her additional insight into human nature, which she channels through career counseling and guidance. She is deeply committed to allyship and tries to be of service when she can as a speaker at industry events, workshops, and panel discussions.
