Ask a Question
Question by Jennifer, Director
asked on 2020-04-03

Sometimes I want to negotiate and the other person does not. They want things done their way, period. I find this attitude bizarre, so it makes it difficult for me to signal to the other person, "C'mon, we're on the same team here" without getting fully into "you're being unreasonable" mode. As a result, I tend to just shut down. Would love your thoughts on setting up a conversation as a negotiation when an explicit sales deal is not what's on the line. Thank you!
