I am transitioning from Higher Ed back to UX/Project Management. I never stopped using my design skills but it means, my portfolio (the most recent stuff is niche), whats a good way to put the academic stuff in perspective for an employer and make it clear I can design for the real world. Also how do you pitch to reenter the industry when you aren't entry level, but you don't have broad enough recent portfolio to make a case for mid level positions?
