I generally don't have a problem approaching people, but when I reconnect with someone I haven't spoken with in a while, I can struggle with answering questions about, esssentially, what I want from them. I want to hear what's going on with them to see if it sparks any ideas about how we might intersect! But even if I open with a friendly invitation like that, it sometimes doesn't get a good response. Are these people just not good networking prospects? Should I change my approach?
