Can you talk about compassion fatigue? I am leaving a job with a wonderful veterinarian and great staff because a small number of angry, entitled customers have made my job unbearable. I'm on edge when I answer the phone, which is my job as a receptionist! I've been in the veterinary field for 14 years. Do you think this solely compassion fatigue or more likely combined with COVID fatigue? I've decided I need a change and I'm going back to work with plants for my own mental health.
