I work in a very small company (16 employees counting the CEO and VP). I have been with the company almost 2 years and never seen an employee advance or change positions (I don't even know if it is possible). I have talked to my immediate supervisor about some interests I have and she basically said I would never get a chance to pursue that here. How do I talk to my CEO (she has an Open Door Policy) about these interests and the possibilities in the company?
