I have 5 years of experience since receiving my BFA in Graphic Design, and I am about to finish my certificate in UX/UI Design. When I apply for jobs in this new but related field, I am unsure how to answer the years of experience I have. Many of my Graphic Design skills and experience overlap but there are enough new aspects to the UX field that I have less than a year of experience. I'm looking for tips on how to explain my experience level for UX/UI entry and mid-level positions without over or underselling myself.
