Role Description
Salesforce is looking for a Sr Engineering Manager in the Infrastructure Engineering - Client organization. This role will have responsibility for managing a team of Engineers who are responsible for supporting our Mobile Device Fleet and Configuration Management tools in use across our IOS and Android Devices. This role will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers who are driving client technology advancements, architecture, and engineering initiatives. Responsibilities for this role will include overseeing the team that has the following responsibilities: end to end management of IOS Android and other Mobile Endpoint devices, architecture, solution design, roadmaps, operations, policy management, Configuration Management Tools, and Tier 3 type escalations.
Job - Responsibilities
Lead the Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) and Configuration Management Engineering teams to deliver a world-class experience for Salesforce employees, contractors, and outsourced partners.
Provide end-to-end management of the EMM client platforms including building roadmaps, architecture, solution design, engineering and operations.
Coach the team for current and future success.
Actively work to automate (where possible)
Leverage agile work management practices, including story and sprint planning to track deliverables.
Identify requirements for capacity planning, system optimization, scaling, and performance, focusing with the team on ensuring high availability for IT systems
Communicate effectively with leadership, peers, stakeholders, and end users regarding system and endpoint activities
Partner with stakeholders, product owners and scrum masters to ensure work prioritization and resource allocation.
Manage the End-to-end lifecycle management of Mobile Device Management Platform client devices.
Work with with Approved vendors and outside partners to ensure that Salesforce’s Mobile Device fleet is secure and above industry standards
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
7+ years of management experience within a technology organization
Prior experience leading a team of senior engineers
Experience managing people and systems in a large scale enterprise environment
Experience in technical delivery of large scale infrastructure projects with multiple dependencies across teams
Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments where the only constant is change
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for people development and a track record for developing talent
Builds effective relationships with direct reports, peers and stakeholders
