Brand Strategy
Accountability for brand health metrics and brand’s impact to the business success in Japan.
Be the feedback loop between regional teams in Japan and our Brand Team located in US, to inform the global evolution of brand to support business goals and best-in-class Customer & Employee experiences.
Engage with Japanese Strategy, Marketing and Comms leaders to align brand strategy to business goals.
Accountability for driving a globally consistent brand experience throughout Japan, while ensuring the brand flexes to be relevant to cultural nuances.
An integral member of both the Global Brand and Japan Marketing Leadership Teams
Planning + Strategy
Work closely with our Brand Strategy, Creative, Media and Field Marketing leadership and other executives to align localized strategies, objectives and activities.
Collaborate with leadership to develop annual and multi-year objectives that align with company-wide goals.
Create any number of complex business case-type presentations – analyzing data, determining how best to present the information, and creating the slides.
Be in the know; attend high-level meetings with our executive team from which you will develop actions, strategies and deliverables.
Work with Brand leadership to optimize program spend mix planning & budgeting, head count planning and modeling. Requires tight collaboration with finance FP&A, HR as well as Marketing Operations.
Engage across the organization to understand business needs, while deepening an understanding of our brand purpose, promise and personality.
Set strategic priorities and roadmaps that influence how we evolve and extend our brand in Japan.
Drive the selection and training of agencies. Build a sustainable process that drives agility, innovation and quality.
Lead brand audits to measure consistency across key touchpoints with insights that will impact customer and employee experiences.
Advertising
Partner with Brand Strategy, Creative, Media, Sponsorships, and digital marketing peers from HQ and in region to help build the local advertising (Creative and Media) campaign
Lead and manage our media and creative agencies in geo, and our in-house digital teams to build an integrated full-funnel advertising campaign
Partner with agency to execute offline media and our internal Digital Acquisition team to execute online strategies.
Own and lead our strategic content partnerships including media partnerships (Nikkei.)
Work with cross-functional teams (Creative, Corporate Comms, Social, Field, Sales Enablement, etc.) to build integrated go-live comms plan in support of campaign launches
Ensure all campaigns are aligned with business objectives, delivered effectively, and within budget
Partner with Marketing Operations on measurement and provide analysis and reporting of each campaign, including insights and optimization recommendations
Help to recruit, train and develop a team
Operations
Drive key initiatives for Chief Brand Officer and CMO. These include corporate, marketing and cross-department within marketing projects. Requires defining and leading cross-functional teams.
Drive and support operational meetings. Including Annual Operating Planning, Global Marketing & Campaign Planning, Quarterly. Business Reviews (QBRs), Board meetings, All Hands meetings, staff meeting and other communication events.
Identify and take on ad hoc strategic projects.
Communications
Work closely with strategic marketing and corporate communications to drive marketing executive internal and external facing communications.
Communicate Brand priorities, activities, and results to the larger organization, while ensuring deliverables are met
Recommend communication opportunities.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
Qualifications:
15+ years as a Brand Marketer/Advertiser of a global brand in a B2B SasS environment or premiere Agency leading multi-channel (TV, OLV, Social, Programmatic, Audio, OOH, Search) brand and demand generation campaigns
15+ years staff management and team leadership to motivate staff and create positive and productive work environment
Fluent in English and Japanese business communications
Must be already authorized to work in Japan
Well-versed in integrated media marketing both Online and Offline.
Critical thinker and problem solver
Ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas
Experience with multi-touch attribution and remarketing strategies
Self-starter, proactive, and excels in fast-paced environments
A love for building amazing brands and making work, work better for people
Strong collaborator
