Job Summary:
Content authority for the Program Backlog. Responsible for identifying customer needs and product market trends, prioritizing Features, guiding the work through the Program Kanban in support of business agility and developing the program vision and roadmap for an Agile Release Train (ART). Works closely with development, in short, integrated learning cycles, to bring the voice of the customer to the developers and the voice of development to the customer, and to maximize the value of multiple products resulting from the work of the product/agile team.
Key Responsibilities:
Works with customers (as well as Product Owners) to continuously understand and communicate their needs and participate in the validation of the proposed solutions; represents the voice of the customer; entrepreneur for products; expert on the archetypical users of products; Articulates and prioritizes personas and their problems so that appropriate products or solutions can be built. Seeks out and interviews customers for user experience feedback and market trends; illustrates market problems in a story that puts the problems in context. Works with Epic Owners to develop the Lean business case for Epics that affect their Agile Release Train (ART). Applies knowledge on how strategic themes influence the strategic direction of a program portfolio; Understands the direction provided by the Portfolio Canvas, Lean Budgets, and Guardrails. Manages the flow of work through the Program Kanban and into the Program Backlog while making sure there are enough Features ready in the backlog at all times; accountable for effective product backlog management; defines and explicitly communicates the Product/Product Category goals; creates, orders, and clearly communicates Product/ Product Category Backlog items apart from ensuring that the backlog is transpaent, visible, and understood. Participates in Program Increment (PI) planning by presenting the vision along with any relevant upcoming milestones and by participating as Business Owners for the train, with the responsibility of approving PI Objectives and establishing business value; defines Releases and Program Increments; decides when enough value has accrued to warrant a release to the customer. Works with System and Solution Architecture/Engineering to understand Enabler work and assist with decision-making and sequencing of technology enablers. Participates in demos, Inspect & Adapt (I&A) workshop, and assessment of metrics. Builds an effective Product Management/Product Owner team to facilitate efficient and effective development; understands and works in line with the organization’s mission, operations, structure, and goals; understands informal structures and processes of the organization; understands organization-level implications of his or her day-to-day decisions. Develop strong relationships to deliver business value using relevant Business Relationship Management practices.

Program Backlog Management and User Story Elaboration - Identifies, refines, prioritizes, and sequences backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution; determines the details of a product feature to ensure that any unanswered questions about it are answered so that development can proceed.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required. SAFe® Product Owner/Agile Product Manager (POPM) or SAFe® Agile Product and Solution Management certifications are preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Significant business and technical knowledge with practical experience of the Lean methodology, principles and tools are preferred.
Experience working in an Agile Environment is preferred.
Significant experience as a Product Owner is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
SAFE certification
Should have managed Service cloud, Sales cloud, CPQ, Communities and platform projects.
Should have managed Field Service projects
Aware of PM framework, Agil and Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira
Should have managed US grooming, prioritization, back log management, estimation, capacity planning
Should have managed business stakeholders right from product planning, road map, execution, conducting workshops, change management
Should manage project documentation and conduct SIT/UAT with business
Should have managed large program implementations and support projects
Should have worked on process improvement/simplification, continuous improvements
