The main functions of the Nestle Health Science Production Operator include the safe and efficient operation of a variety of tasks in the manufacturing of nutritional health products at the Nestlé Health Science, Savannah location. Employees will be required to operate equipment and machinery according to manufacturing instructions, while ensuring the production of quality goods. Employees must adhere to safety and environmental objectives and targets while performing work functions. Employees are required to wear uniforms, hair nets, earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes and adhere to GMP guidelines.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of production-related experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the Food and Beverage, Aseptic manufacturing industry preferred but not required.
Skills:
- Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies and procedures.
- Must have strong interpersonal and decision-making skills and the ability to work alone or within a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead, push, pull, walk or stand continuously for long periods of time.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Demonstrate communication, organization and listening skills.
- Must be able to work in a repetitive motion and operate vibrating tools.
Environment:
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to dust, loud noise, confined areas, and extreme temperatures.
- Some odor related to chemicals or cooking operations may be objectionable.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
Minimum Age: Must be at least 18 years of age
Pre-Employment Background Check and Drug Screen required prior to hire. Employees are also subject to a 90-day probationary period upon hire.
