The Optum Payment Integrity Rotational Leadership Program is designed for high-performing, high-potential individuals seeking meaningful future leadership roles in operational based teams.
The Work
Our Rotational Leadership Program is designed specifically for highly talented MBA candidates who have a strong desire to demonstrate their capabilities and enhance their leadership potential. You will be placed in strategic positions with frequent exposure to leaders, businesses, and technologies. You will have the ability to make meaningful contributions to the company and help people live healthier lives. During your 24-month rotation, you will also engage in leadership development coursework and curriculum to prepare you for the next step in your career journey of leading others. Rotational Leaders will learn about dozens of different value streams in the Payment Integrity business sector and will be exposed to operational processes and functions as well as some of our top executional priorities.
Program Structure:
The Optum Payment Integrity business consists of over 20,000 employees worldwide. We have business partners in Ireland, India and the Philippines and you will have the opportunity to work remotely with leaders from at least one of those locations during your rotation. Our 24-month program consists of a minimum of two assignments (12 months each) in different business units, providing you with a broad understanding of Payment Integrity within the organization.
You’ll be assigned to managing Optum Payment Integrity top executional priorities which will utilize your strategic planning, critical thinking, global mindset, program, and project management skills.
Participants will also experience extensive, customized formal development programs to fulfill professional and personal potential. You will be supported by a leader who will provide professional training and coaching to assist you in developing your leadership and business acumen skills. In this role you will have the opportunity to interact with senior leaders and build a valuable network of peers, managers, and leaders across the organization. Following the completion of your rotations, your leader will assist you with identifying your next role in the organization.

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution
- Currently pursuing an MBA from a top tier program with a target graduation date no later than June 2024. (Or have graduated with MBA in past two years)
- 3+ years of relevant professional work experience
- Solid skills with Microsoft, specifically Excel - intermediate level and Power Point creation
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operations experience or operations focused educational background
- Experienced with data analysis
- Project or program management, healthcare, marketing and/or IT background
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex business issues and make strategic decisions
- Proven high emotional intelligence, ability to navigate a complex matrix organization
- Proven innovative & proactive thinker
- Proven high level of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
