Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years experience in product management, consulting, co-founder or related technical role.
- 2 years of experience building and shipping technical products.
- Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working on ML/AI systems.
- Experience working on personalization or recommendation systems.
- Excellent problem solving skills, with data science or analytical experience.
People around the world use Google Search for queries every year. For each query, we aim to deliver the most relevant and reliable results. Sometimes providing the most relevant results benefit from personalization. This is where results are tailored to you based on your activity. For example, if you search “what to watch”, you’ll see a “Recommended for you” message followed by a list of personalized recommendations. Sometimes providing relevant results requires using your country and location (ranking localization).
As the Personalized Search Results Product Manager, you’ll spend the majority of your time working on personalization, and some of your time working on ranking localization to deliver the most relevant search results for users. You’ll work closely with the engineering team in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and collaborate heavily with different personalization teams across Search.

- Develop a deep understanding of the user value that personalization can offer, and where it matters most to our users. Analyze, and use your understanding to help set the roadmap for personalized search results.
- Understand ranking architecture and metrics to navigate the team through complex decisions and trade offs needed to land significant positive user impact.
- Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams across organizations to make sure any ranking changes are safe, well understood by our users, and deliver relevant results that they can trust.
- Communicate the technical details of personalized ranking to search executives and non-technical audiences.
- Travel internationally.
