The SVP Global Rewards will work closely with senior leadership and staff to define, drive and execute HR strategies, plans and program that enable accomplishment of business objectives. Responsible for defining and executing required strategic HR solutions. Translate current and future business needs into an overall integrated strategic HR plan. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies and programs for the effective utilization of the organization's human capital. Manages communication programs and monitors effectiveness measures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and align total rewards offerings and initiatives with Wolters Kluwer’s global business strategy, diagnosing business challenges, exploring alternative solutions and recommending best-fit solutions; identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure the total rewards strategy and overall program design aligns with strategic business objectives and is effective in attracting, rewarding and retaining key talent in a manner that is fully compliant with local legal and regulatory requirements.
Evaluate all total rewards programs, ensuring they are competitive with the marketplace, sustainable, scalable and integrated with business systems, in addition to having a positive impact on the long- and short-term performance of the organization.
In collaboration with Willis Towers Watson, proactively review executive compensation matters and trends. Prepare and present analyses, materials and recommendations relating to executive compensation to senior leadership and as requested, the Remuneration Committee for the Supervisory Board.
Serve as a consultative and technical resource to the CEO, CHRO and CFO for all matters relating to total rewards.
Analyze market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of benefit plans globally to ensure they optimize the company's ability to attract and retain top talent. Implement new and modify existing programs to maximize positive benefits and well-being outcomes for employees while managing cost effectiveness and compliance.
Manage relationships with key health and welfare plan vendors and international pooling partners, including the company’s third-party administrators, ensuring cost effective and high-performance results in alignment with Wolters Kluwer’s strategy.
Drive efficiency through automation; partner with the HR Analytics team and vendors to refine and elevate insights to steer rewards strategy. Support a tiered service model to ensure a great workplace experience for stakeholders.
Lead, develop and mentor a team of approximately 16 individuals across the globe in the functional areas of compensation and benefits.
Lead and shape the vision for total rewards, working in partnership with other members of HR leadership to deliver on the HR agenda supporting business objectives.
Support M&A and integration activities as required.
Leverage data and trends to engage the member population and support their needs while actively managing the costs of benefits and driving cost reductions.
Operate as an internal consultant to line executives and HR professionals, serving as the subject matter expert. Partner with senior leadership to leverage benefits programs to meet organizational objectives.
Ideal Experience:
Global experience - Experience working in global, multi-location environments with geographically dispersed teams; experience working in Europe is required. Nuanced understanding of local and regional dynamics related to rewards in different countries and geographies.
Executive compensation experience - Experience designing and implementing executive compensation programs, ideally at a global, publicly traded company or a top global compensation consulting firm.
Broad-based compensation experience - Exposure to the various aspects of broad-based compensation, including compensation structures and incentive design, in roles of increasing scale and responsibility.
Benefits experience - Track record of success providing comprehensive oversight in dealing with a variety of pension/retirement plans; health and well-being plans; and pooling arrangements around the globe.
M&A/change management experience - Experience with leading-edge and progressive total rewards and HR practices, including mergers, acquisitions, integrations, joint-ventures and divestitures.
