Basic Purpose:
Provide support to the Eaton Vance Equity team and the portfolios they manage. The role involves supporting important portfolio services integral to the portfolios’ objectives, including trade implementation, cash management, tax management, compliance, and operational oversight.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Portfolio Management Analysts to implement trades for fundamental core strategies, understanding investment restrictions across accounts, helping to identify and resolve tax objectives while staying within compliance.
- Monitor position and weights for cash, foreign cash balances, collateral, segregation, hedging activity, corporate actions and other items as needed.
- Liaise with Trading, Investment Operations, Fund Custodians, Compliance, Fund Administration, Legal, IT Equity Support, and other key functional areas of the business, as needed.
- Create, maintain, and prepare portfolio reports on FactSet, Bloomberg, Excel, CRD etc.
- Assist in preparation of materials and Trustee reports for Funds.
- Assist in monitoring performance of Funds and Fund holdings, as well as pricing of securities, if needed.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of investment management experience. Operations or accounting background a plus. Experience with an order management system like Charles River (CRD) preferred.
- Extremely strong attention to organization and details with dexterity to multi-task.
- Strong analytical skills.
- A self-starter with an ability to be proactive, take initiative and independently problem-solve.
- Ability to work as a member of a team which includes the ability to be flexible and adaptable.
- Strong math orientation and numerical aptitude. Requires an understanding of financial markets and investment management industry.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid computer skills: Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, Excel
- Experience and knowledge of programming languages (Python, SQL) a plus
