To expand the team at our location in Nuremberg, we are looking for a Base Software Engineer. The position is a hybrid, sharing time between home and the office in Nuremberg, Germany.
Responsibilities:
• Investigate product software problems, understand causal mechanisms, recommend appropriate action, own problem resolution, and document results
• Improvement of product software development processes and tools
• Obtain input and negotiate with product and software development teams and deliver verified software features, components
• Use systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions in the areas of software requirements, architecture, design, and test
• Review of less-experienced developers/testers’ work to ensure robust, reusable, and efficient designs
Your profile:
• You have a successfully completed university degree in the technical field or another comparable qualification
• You have experience in Automotive SW Verification & Validation Methodologies
• You have developed Requirements based tests, Black-box tests, Fault-injection tests, etc.
• You are familiar with Automotive Communication Protocols – CAN, UDS, DoCAN
• You have some experience with Requirements Management (DOORS, Polarion)
• You are familiar with HIL test systems and debugging tools
• Very good German and English skills, as well as the familiarity with intercultural teams complete your profile
Additional Technical Skills and Experiences:
• Experience with microcontroller architecture, programming, and interfacing.
• Experience with microcontrollers such as Infineon, NXP or ARM cores is preferred.
• Familiarity with Functional Safety Standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508
• Familiarity with AUTOSAR configuration, development and architecture (tools such as Vector DaVinci Configurator Pro, Enterprise Architect or PREEVISION) is preferred
• Experience with compilers such as Tasking, other tools such as EB Tresos and debuggers is required
• Experience with Embedded C / C++ Development is required
• Experience with Embedded Control Software Development using Matlab / Simulink is preferred
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as debuggers, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, signal generators, etc. is required
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ehternet, etc. is required
