Our Advanced Technology Advanced Integrated Surface Sensors Program Area is looking for a dynamic intern to join their team! This is a full-time position from May-August. The intern will support both existing Contract Research and Development programs and business opportunities, as well as other regular business activities including operational performance, sales, and cost reduction. Opportunities exist to learn and help support finance, supply chain, human resources, marketing, and business management tasks using our industry-leading tools and processes.
The ideal candidate should have strong academic credentials and experience in working in a teamwork environment, having not only academic, but also interpersonal skills to help optimize our teams. Additionally, the candidate should possess an inquisitive nature and a strong desire to learn real world applications to complement their academic experience.
This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Applying your academic knowledge and participating as a member of a multi-discipline team.
Contributing to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads.
This position can be a Sophomore Technical Intern or Junior Technical Intern or Senior Technical Intern or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:
(Freshman Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
Previous Engineering project and/or internship experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated effectiveness in working in teams.
Results-oriented with good problem-solving skills
