Position SummaryThe Director, Lean Process is responsible for developing and driving the application of Lean Principles across the Systems organization.
The role will report, at the onset, to the President of Global Systems & Services and undertake Lean Process initiatives to create immediate operational efficiencies within all functional areas of the organization. This role will be highly collaborative with and visible to leaders across the business.
L&W is embarking on a Lean / Six Sigma journey and as a Director at L&W, you will be a key enabler of that vision. You will leverage your extensive experience in process excellence engineering, Lean Methodologies, and Six Sigma to lead process improvement projects across the organization and/or within key areas to enhance overall productivity and have an immediate impact on generating company wealth.
Essential Job Functions:
Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Lean Excellence: Ability to utilize expertise in lean techniques to develop tailored high value solutions, and continuous improvement opportunities, for the organization.
Six Sigma Excellence: Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control processes, driving measurable results and defect reduction.
Lean Implementation: Lead the implementation of Lean Principles and practices across the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Project Leadership: Partner with key stakeholders to plan, manage, and execute process improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with established quality standards.
Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders to ensure commitment and buy-in to lean principles and goals.
Data Analysis: Collect and analyze process data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to implement process improvements and maintain alignment with organizational goals.
Training and Development: Provide guidance, mentorship and coaching to team members across the organization, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help foster a continuous improvement mindset.
Documentation: Must be able to use visualization tools (Visio or equivalent) for value stream mapping and stakeholder presentations.
Process Robustness: Ensure that all processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
10 years of experience working on operational improvement teams or in roles with significant exposure to Lean / Six Sigma principles.
Experience working with a wide variety of business functions and back-office processes, including experience partnering with functions to identify improvements.
Experience working cross-functionally to identify and implement improvement ideas/projects.
Working knowledge of various process and quality improvement methodologies / techniques (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Gemba, etc.).
Track record of driving process improvement projects from inception through sustainment.
Strategic mindset and strong business acumen, with the ability to identify priority value opportunities by leveraging exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Advanced presentation and analytical skills utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate workshops, create and deliver presentations.
Ability to develop relationships and collaborate across all organizational levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Knowledge and experience with Salesforce and Oracle platforms.
Location/Travel:
Preference for role to be located in Las Vegas, but can be open to Remote dependent on expertise.
Estimate 30% travel required.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred.
