Here at Collins Maintenance Repair and Overhaul UK facility in Marston Green, we provide specialist technical support for Electronic Engine Control, Fuel Metering units, Actuators and Pump units widely used in the Aerospace industry.
Due to imminent retirement of the current Global Chemical Compliance Specialist, we are seeking a self-motivated and driven individual who will pro-actively ensure that Global Chemical compliance requirements for Marston Green are met.

Key Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Day to day management of Global Chemical Compliance issues.
Maintaining the on-site tool and procedures.
Leading internal activities and engagements to drive chemical compliance and sustainability forward.
Close working with on-site EH&S and the corporate REACh PMO.
Lead and drive the ongoing chrome VI replacement activities – and the transition to lead free in the future.
Work with suppliers and keep customers informed regarding Global Chemical compliance.
Take responsibility for the site chemical compliance.
Development and maintenance of site-specific chemical compliance procedures, processes, and software tools.
Daily review of all documentation submitted through the Change Acceptance process.
Carrying out and submitting corporate assignments regarding chemical compliance.
Essential Criteria:
Ability to read and understand policies and technical documentation including engineering drawings.
Understanding and experience of working with REACh / Global Chemical compliance regulations.
Familiar with the Chemical Abstract Service (CAS registry system).
Multi-disciplined with a basic knowledge of hydro-mechanical and electronic systems.
Knowledge of UK, EU and Global chemical compliance framework and regulations.
Desirable Criteria:
A graduate or equivalent experience in a scientific, production or manufacturing engineering or environmental discipline.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of validation processes for new materials/ products.
Knowledge of Environmental test standards such as mil-spec and ASTM.
Experience in an aerospace/automotive industry.

This position may involve access to export-controlled information and hardware where an export license would be required for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
