- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Candidates will typically have 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Typically 2 years of experience in a policy-related role, focused on online content moderation or ancillary policy enforcement frameworks.
- Experience in policy guideline scripting, incubation and advanced testing.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in content or business generation policy, anti-abuse operations and or abuse fighting at scale in the online space.
- Knowledge of the technology sector and the key policy issues affecting the internet such as advertising, free expression, and online safety.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into simple, clear language.
- Excellent business acumen, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- Excellent technical policy implementation skills.

- Enforce policy decisions for YouTube’s advertiser friendly guidelines.
- Implement policy principles into actionable enforcement guidelines for our video rater pool.
- Review controversial and sometimes offensive video content to determine whether or not they are brand safe.
- Manage escalations with a fast turn-around time to define and deliver the best action plan.
- Research and stay up to date on key trends and suspicious patterns in the policy area.
