This project management position will support the Program Integration Team (PIT) and one or more Technical Teams (TT) on a restricted effort in Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, CA, with some travel between those sites as required. Teleworking is not available as an option. The overall responsibilities include executable tasks that will enable TT and Operating Unit (OU) leadership to achieve operational excellence.
Primary duties will include facilitating cross-TT and cross-OU integration, managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as liaison between IPT and Sub-IPT managers, TT employees, and other program Functions.
Regular responsibilities may include the following:
- Data aggregation and reporting on charging metrics and financials from Cobra data
- Tracking and proactive management of TT staffing levels across OUs and Programs
- Submission and tracking of Program Access Requests (PARs)
- Supervising and facilitating the Peer Review process and CPATS training compliance
- Support of Staff meetings including meeting facilitation, chart compilation, and action item tracking
- Oversight of Change Request process and collection of impacts
- Updates and improvements to team SharePoint site and knowledge base resources
- Scheduling and promoting engagement activities including lunch and learns, team recognition, business area highlights, and composition of periodic highlights for newsletters
- Maintaining organization charts
- Support of new business proposal review and team organization
- Assessment of project issues and development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct business travel up to 25% of the time from assigned work location to Palmdale or Rancho Bernardo, CA.
Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator.
Basic Qualifications for Project Management:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 3 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 1 year with Master's degree
Current, active DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation / adjudication or enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation program
Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
Working knowledge of Project Management principles
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access
Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; 4 years with Master's degree
Current, active DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation / adjudication or enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation program
Skilled use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
Working knowledge of Project Management principles
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access

Supplier management experience
Risk/issue/opportunities (TRIO) experience

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
Salary Range 2: $88,700 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
