We are looking for a talented Skilled Trades- Tool Design to join our team for our location in Jamestown, NY.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:  

  • Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.
  • Performs work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
  • Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.
  • Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
  • Provide feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system.
  • Performs the skilled activities expected by their roles in accordance with defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.
  • Applies high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:  

  • Design tools, fixtures, gauges, machine improvements, small machinery
  • Experience in 3-D model and design 
  • Using CREO software- is a plus.
  • Knowledge in algebra, trigonometry, statics, material properties, machining processes
  • Maintain drawings, keep records on new & changing designs.
  • Able to prioritize work demands as needed.
  • Work independently, be accountable for project hours.
  • Ability to conceptualize project work, attention to detail.
  • Seek out project information as needed for development.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, engineers, & team members
  • Assist Engineers, Technicians, & Tool Makers in set-up & debugging of tooling
  • Use of hand tools for assembly of project
  • Know, understand & comply with all departmental/company policies & procedures.


Compensation and Benefits 
Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
