Position Role Type:

Raytheon is seeking a Systems Administrator/Systems Integrator to join our GPS OCX team at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado. The selected candidate will be part of a team of Ground Systems Engineers (GSE), Systems Administrators, and Systems Integrators focused on accomplishment of mission and system support tasks in an operational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Windows and Linux environment. 

  • You will install and configure hardware and OS

  • You will integrate COTS products

  • You will monitor and sustain the environment

  • The selected individual should be a professional contributor who can manage small projects/processes with limited supervision and is willing to work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. 

  • You will use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems.

  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements. 

  • Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.

This position is an onsite role. Work location is the Raytheon campus in Aurora, CO.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current DoD Secret (or higher) clearance.

  • A minimum of 5 years of System Administration experience in Linux and Windows environments

  • Good understanding of networking protocols and concepts.

  • A working knowledge of Data Backup and recovery

  • Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux fundamentals to include performance monitoring and optimization, troubleshooting, patching, and security hardening. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with developing solutions and documentation for a variety of PC and Server architectures.

  • Experience integrating COTS products and troubleshooting them

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESX virtual computing methods.

  • Experience with Data Storage concepts and technologies

  • Experience with security hardening of Linux systems.

  • Experience with Netbackup.

  • DoD 8570.01 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
