The Insights and Data Intelligence team exists to ensure Salesforce is making effective, high return investments into people products, processes, and experiences. We design data, products, and strategies, with business leaders and product owners in ways that solve real problems related to outcomes like productivity, engagement, and retention. We are the ES experts and owners of the data strategy and data enablement in order to scale intelligent decision making through our peers across ES and the business!
This role is responsible for setting, developing and driving the implementation of Salesforce’s Employee Success (ES) data intelligence and design strategy. The successful candidate will ensure key business and ES outcomes directly impact the data architecture to deliver key products. This person will operate like a Product Manager over all major Employee Success data-related results. They will lead with a tool agnostic, future-oriented approach, and quickly possess a deep understanding of Salesforce on Salesforce technologies and capabilities. This is a leader of leaders position taking accountability for data engineering, data architecture, data analysts, and data governance within ES.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with partners, product managers and project managers to turn business goals and strategy into technical solutions
- Direct a deep bench of technical expertise and scale capabilities.
- Own and deliver a data strategy for ES in the context of our broader people strategy.
- Play an active leadership role in enterprise-level data design conversations.
- Deliver tool agnostic data, analytics, and visualization solutions.
- Provide collaborative leadership to work with key functions needed to deliver on our AI vision and strategy (People Analytics, Business Technology, ES Business Partners)
- Coach and mentor team members as we build scalable data and AI solutions
- Inform and deliver on ambitious product roadmaps to accelerate growth and key employee outcomes
- Lead data governance council, partnering closely with legal, privacy and data governance to ensure the appropriate use of people data.
Minimum Requirements
- High level critical thinking on data and AI and its applications to HR
- Experience and familiarity with People Analytics or similar field
- Experience applying predictive analytics, AI, and automated solutions in the people space
- Experience defining and leading large-scale, complex projects with multiple collaborators
- Ability to influence and work cross functionally to align multiple teams to a vision and strategy
- Ability to translate business strategy and outcomes, into technical requirements
- Experience consulting with business partners related to analytics, research, or strategy to drive insight and action
- Ability to guide the vision of data architecture and engineering decisions, bringing strong previous experience and knowledge to bear.
- Strong business analysis skills including strong written communication, data visualization, and presentation to executive audiences
- Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with very little mentorship
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within data/business intelligence field.
- Proven track record to manage and lead a diverse team of data professionals.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data security standard processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $244,500 to $372,900. For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $203,800 to $310,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
