Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in sales, marketing, technical or a related subject required.
MBA Preferred.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
- Significant level of relevant work experience required.
- Technical background preferred.
- Support Business Process Transformation (BPT) leadership in overseeing and managing the company’s portfolio of process transformation initiatives sponsored by Cummins Leadership Team (CLT). Drive a strategic and business impact-oriented approach.
- Coach executive sponsors and leaders of transformation programs, providing direction and support to ensure programs are set up for success, with strong business cases and plans to mitigate common risks.
- Lead Post Investment Reviews of CLT-selected BPT programs to identify best practices and lessons learned for future investments.
- Develop and maintain portfolio/program information to enable strategic portfolio management, timely leadership support of BPT programs, and decision-making.
- Manage planning and preparation for biweekly meetings of the BPT Steering Committee governance team which provides guidance, support, and approval decisions to BPT program teams.
- Support Business Process Transformation (BPT) leadership in delivering program leadership talent development – BPT Community of Practice.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $114,400-$171,600. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Manages market strategic development. Designs and implements market penetration plans and programs to accomplish business plans or organizational goals targeting business performance.
- Utilizes macro, market, or technology trends, to shape the long-term product plan.
- Collaborates with Market Segment teams and Account Managers utilizing Human-centered Design (HCD) principles to understand requirements and develop customer-led product plans.
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of the current product to provide input for future product change.
- Creates product road map in support of a specific market segment.
- Supports Synchronized Business Planning (SBP) Product Review process as the owner of specific projects and market segments within the Master Project List (MPL).
- Develops business case and leads Pre-program Planning (PPP) for specific larger-scale opportunities within the portfolio.
- Develops value proposition for new products and articulates appropriate position within the portfolio.
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders.
