Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced EDI expert to join our Aftermarket Division at Cummins-Meritor. This role is pivotal in managing relationships between our customers and internal technical exports regarding Electronic Data Interchange (EDI.) The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless EDI operations for order processing, invoicing, and shipments. A keen focus on lean processes and continuous improvement is essential.
Responsibilities
- Collect and understand customer EDI requirements and translate to technical specifications for internal team.
- EDI Management: Oversee the setup and ongoing maintenance of EDI systems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to customer order processing and invoice receipt via EDI.
- ERP Integration: Work with AS400 and Oracle ERP systems to ensure smooth dataflow and process integration.
- Process Improvement: Utilize lean methodologies, such as Six Sigma, to diagnose, analyze, and improve EDI and ERP-related processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Customer Service, Shared Services, and IT departments to enhance system capabilities and streamline processes.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to users of the EDI system, ensuring clear understanding and efficient usage.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of EDI systems and process changes. Prepare and present reports on system performance and improvement initiatives.
- Ability to identify programming changes and communicate requirements to IT.
- Create and execute comprehensive testing plan for EDI changes.
- Identify how automation technologies may improve EDI processes.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
