Job Details
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in a data analysis role (e.g., extracting insights, performing statistical analysis, or solving business problems), with experience in tools including SQL, Python.
- Experience in articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (e.g., SQL, Python), and using statistics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience partnering on cross-functional projects or teams, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with data sets.
- Excellent project management and planning skills, with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving at the same time.
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, with the ability to identify business problems and come up with analytical solutions.
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. The Analytics team will support both the Country of Focus and Global Youth teams in identifying product opportunities in a user funnel, identifying key metrics to evaluate progress against user focus areas, and many other things in between!
As a Product Analytics Lead, you will be working on markets and demographics that will be the future growth drivers for Google by working across major Google products including Search, Google Maps, Discover, Shopping, and with opportunity to collaborate with other major product areas.

- Lead the product analysis aspects of understanding user behavior on and across Knowledge and Information products, and identify growth opportunities.
- Perform data exploration to understand user behavior and identify opportunities for growing users/improving user engagement.
- Work with datasets and solve analysis problems by applying observational data analysis, causal inference, statistical techniques.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to influence, prioritize, and support product strategy.
- Deliver presentations of data-driven insights and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders and create reports/dashboards to track key performance indicators.
