The Enterprise Transformation Office is seeking a Senior Director, Program Management. In this role, an experienced program and project professional will be accountable to deliver solutions, in partnership with functional leaders, that support the growth and scale of Salesforce. The scope of this work will be cross functional, in partnership with our technology functions and may include changes to operating models, processes, technology, etc. The role is responsible for end-to-end program management, driving project deliverables and milestones, as well as closely partnering with various business functions to build alignment on scope and approach, business requirements and processes, and optimized solutions that deliver both short and long term strategic goals.
This is an office-flexible role for Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA. In office expectations are 3 days/week to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively plan, coordinate, and direct the delivery of large, complex projects while managing risks and issues to minimize scope, budget, and schedule impacts
- Effectively lead, empower and hold accountable project leads, and team members as both a people leader and in a matrixed organization to complete priorities; ability to handle third-party project management resources
- Proactively build strong, trusted working relationships with functional leaders and business partners (e.g., Finance, Employee Success, Change Management, Business Technology) to drive alignment and optimize project operations
- Ability to engage with senior leaders and escalate risks and issues appropriately to them on an ongoing basis
- Facilitate annual budget planning and tracking value from the business
- Collaborate globally to influence key partners on project scope/vision, solutions, budget, and schedule; set-up and implement program governance
- Facilitate weekly project team meetings to focus on and accelerate project execution
- Communicate project strategy, updates, and partner concerns of risks/issues to multiple levels of management, including executive leadership teams across the organization
- Ability to identify the root cause(s), develop business case justification, acquire partner alignment; recommend prioritization of solutions
- Leverage data insights to propose project execution strategy and measure results
What sets you apart:
- Transitions; experience leading teams through significant change with calmness, advising leadership proactively on risk mitigation to avoid issues and creating reliable, clear and transparent communication on progress and risks to the program
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master (CSM) certifications are a plus
- Extensive experience in planning and completing large transformation programs
- Self-starter with the ability to work through ambiguity and thrives in fast-paced and multifaceted environments and is able to deliver within defined timeframes
- Provide innovative solutions for involved business problems
- High Emotional Intelligence (EQ) specifically being a great active listener and communicator, who can convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing to various levels of leadership
- Leading with influence and a track record of building strong partnerships
- Knowledge of Salesforce Clouds and Tableau applications (reports and dashboards)
- MBA or other advanced degree
Required Skills and Experience:
- 12+ years of confirmed experience leading complex program management, preferably for large-scale transformations
- Ability to drive and realize strategic benefits through successful completion of projects, able to excel in a collaborative environment, build rapport, and influence peers
- Solid command of project lifecycle and project management methodologies (e.g. PMI framework, agile/scrum)
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
