Job Description
We are looking for an energized and driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to focus on growing strategic target markets, customers, and opportunities within the Grid Edge Solutions business in the Utility and Industrial segments in the western region of the United States.
The candidate must have the ability to deliver independently on sales pursuits, conducts sales presentations, customer consultations, and follows up on leads for partners and customers. It is expected that high level relationships will be established with key clients. We look for passion to serve customers, identify their problems and provide a solution that meets their needs and expectations.
Other role responsibilities include:
- Providing the critical solution and industry knowledge to help support, generate, and develop new sales opportunities and support the growth of short-term and long-term pipeline.
- Meeting orders targets for the Western Region of the United States
- Prepares and executes strategic sales growth plans for target portfolio and clearly articulates the value proposition of solutions.
- Understands focused applications and market opportunities and is able to translate them into customer values that will positively impact the business.
- Interface with account managers and other regional sales teams to develop and implement account specific strategies within new and existing customers and target markets.
- Improve portfolio penetration across key focus customers with support of account managers and technical resources through new solutions and services.
- Engage with EPC or end-user leaders and executives to develop relationships, understand their business and formulate business solutions to create value.
- Works closely with Product Management and Product Marketing to enhance and continue to develop leading edge technology that will drive market adoption and better fit customer needs.
- Engage with prospects to understand specific needs/problems and lead/contribute to the development of appropriate technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred). Equivalent industry experience in the Energy industry (Transmission, Distribution or Generation markets) may be substituted for education requirements.
- 7+ years business development experience in the Electric Utilities or Industrial Markets .
- 5+ years of solution/consultative sales experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Proven experience developing and implementing business strategies.
- Excellent proven customer-facing and presentation skills for technical solutions.
- Background in selling Battery Energy Storage Solutions, Microgrids, or Substation Automation is a plus.
