As an Antenna Engineering Manager in the RL wireless organization at Meta, you will build and lead part of antenna team focusing on wearable products to push forward the state of wireless technologies. You should be passionate about experimenting with new antenna designs as well as being rock solid competent when it comes to implementing them for production. You and your team will directly own the design, implementation, and validation of wearable antenna systems across the lifecycle from initial conception to mass production.

Antenna Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
- Build, mentor and manage a team responsible for innovative antenna solutions and delivering them to market at scale
- Lead the team in developing Wi-Fi/BT/GNSS/ Cellular/UWB and mmWave antennas and NFC/wireless power charging coils, from product discovery phase to mass production
- Collaborate with ID, mechanical, electrical engineering and operation teams on the integration of antenna systems into wearable hardware products
- Lead team in debugging and fixing antenna-related issues
- Hands-on involvement with the team in the development of antenna systems in wearable hardware projects (Design, Simulation, Data analysis, validation, and factory support)
- Champion a data driven culture, operational efficiency and excellence, and establishing processes and operational metrics and wireless/antenna KPIs
- Work with vendors to improve antenna fabrication process and explore new antenna materials to meet high performance requirements
- Support domestic/international travel to achieve program milestones
- Drive the wearable antenna roadmap, develop a forward-looking technology shelf and dive into new areas with innovative antenna technologies and materials
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in managing or leading a team with a proven experience hiring and growing personnel
- Experience influencing ID, product design, electrical engineering, and other hardware/software cross-functional partners
- 10+ years of experience in multi-band and tunable antenna design with a proven record of designing and shipping high volume consumer products
- Experience in antenna characterizations such as input impedance, impedance matching, antenna isolation, gain, polarization, radiation pattern, ECC, etc
- Hands-on experience in antenna prototyping, tuning and measurement with VNA and anechoic chamber systems
- Solid understanding of electromagnetics (EM) and antenna theory, proficient in EDA simulation software such as CST, HFSS, XFDTD, etc
- Experience in 5G FR1/LTE, GNSS, Wi-Fi/BT, UWB, NFC wireless technologies
- Experience with lab equipment for RF and antenna characterization as well as wireless system performance validation, such as SAR/PD, TRP/TIS, Load Pull, RvR, etc
- Knowledge of wireless/RF system architecture, desense and multi-radio co-existence mechanism
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in managing or leading a team with a proven experience hiring and growing personnel
- Experience in millimeter-wave antenna module design and validation
- 10+ years of experience in multi-band and tunable antenna design for compact size form factor
- Experience in antenna tuner/tuning, SAR/PD mitigation, EMI/EMC, desense
- Familiar with carrier certification process, regulatory requirements (FCC, CE, etc)
