User Experience Design is at the heart of Audible’s goal to be customer obsessed. The UX team works ceaselessly to use our product design skills to transform deep customer insight into delightful and innovative experiences that drive business results. We are searching for a passionate and experienced Senior User Experience Designer to use their design talents to ensure that Audible continues to lead through product innovation.


This position is focused on ensuring that our customers are able to seemlessly listen to compelling content and developing new ways to engage in spoken word audio across multiple platforms including iOS, Android, web, and voice interfaces like Alexa. You will help identify areas to raise the experience bar by uncovering and fixing usability issues, crafting refined user interface elements, and identifying new innovative ways of delivering the Audible service.

A day in the life of a Senior User Experience Designer at Audible:
· Participate as a member of a UX project team and collaborating with cross-functional teammates like product managers, data science, engineering, customer service, marketing, merchandising, and QA to understand and refine the requirements and goals of projects from the perspective of the customer.
· Work iteratively to design, refine, and validate solutions. Using your design skills you create wireframes, storyboards, walkthroughs and paper prototypes to communicate your design ideas to the team. Graciously providing and incorporating constructive criticism to improve you and your team's skills and design solutions. You work with User Research to ensure that your concepts meet our customer's expectations and deliver the desired results.
· Write detailed documentation to ensure your designs are well understood by stakeholders and detailed enough for efficient development. You ensure that you have accounted for variations across a wide variety of devices and platforms, handled errors and edge cases, and defined elegant micro-interactions.
· Deliver designs that support our service wide User Experience strategy and design system by collaborating with the appropriate UX Leads to drive coherence and continuity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 4+ years of experience as a user experience designer, product designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
· Portfolio of work that demonstrates a track record of designing and delivering digital products that aligned customer needs and business goals.
· Able to take ambiguous design problems and work with stakeholders to ground design decisions in customer and business goals drawn from user research insights.
· Experience in a range of design approaches, methods, and tools that you use to plan and estimate complex projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Portfolio that demonstrates delivering digital services across multiple platforms and devices.
· Work that shows an understanding of assessing the overall customer experience and identifying opportunities for improvement.
· Experience working in design teams in a mid-sized to large agency or company.
· Delivered designs intended for a consumer market.
