We are looking for talented, self-starter experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our Service Provider solutions team, to help Service Providers in their journey of network transformation. The role encompasses solutions development for various Service Providers, including Communications Service Providers (ie, Telco, cable), Managed Service Providers, Hosting companies, Content Delivery Networks, Cloud providers and Consumer/Enterprise Web Technology providers. The Service Providers solution engineering team is responsible for building ready solutions – from point of reference architecture to a validated design. Solutions engineering team works closely with product management team in gather market insight, partner technology update inputs, and internal server, storage and networking roadmaps into building ready solutions for SP market.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in virtualization, containers and software defined networking & storage. Every Solution Engineer is expected to be inquisitive about new technologies, quick learner, and to be able to work with geographically dispersed team. Our solutions are built on top of Dell EMC server, storage, and networking products with partners SW platforms. As a Solutions Engineer you are empowered to influence overall roadmap, product design discussion and interact with sales and customer to understand the impact of what we are delivering.

Solution Engineering is a geographically dispersed team, this engineer will work in global team to build and deliver solutions that match or exceed customer expectations. Solution Engineer will also support overall SP virtual team of (sales engineers, services delivery and product management) to support in sales opportunity teams by doing knowledge transfer and supporting team with technical data for a conversation with the customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contributing to overall software strategy for Network Edge solutions
  • Development and execution of specific solution delivery plan for QA
  • To be SME for network edge including but not limited to HW choices, workload optimization and life-cycle support for Network Edge solutions
  • Contribute and validate deployment guides and automations of network edge SP solutions
  • Experience in python, ansible, other scripts or related programming languages, like GO.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing business priorities


  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Must work in Austin, TX or Round Rock, TX
  • Technical understanding of the core hardware elements of an enterprise data center (i.e. compute, networking, and storage) and the software/hardware ecosystem that supports infrastructure virtualization
  • Knowledge on creating and executing test plans in agile process
  • Very good knowledge of OS - Linux Server OS, VMware ESXi
  • Working knowledge of SDN technologies, including NSX, Big Switch, Cumulus, Nuage, etc.
  • Experience with L2 and L3 Networking protocols and experience configuring the Ethernet network switches such as Dell EMC, Cisco, Juniper etc.
  • Experience with Agile or Lean processes required.
  • Hand on experience with Q-Metry, TestRail or equivalent
  • Working knowledge on use of benchmark tools like ioperf, netperf, iozone, fio, linpack etc. for component-level stress testing.
  • Experience of using QA automation frameworks
  • CI/CD hands on experience
  • Deep experience with distributed systems trouble shooting
  • Communication skills – written and oral

The following qualifications/experience is strongly desired:

  • Experience with container platforms, like Kubernetes, OpenShift and Pivotal are a plus
  • Experience with DevOps tools and procedures, especially Ansible
  • OpenStack, VMware vSphere, VIO, vCD, OpenShift, Pivotal or similar platforms
  • Experience with Telco workloads and life-cycle application/platform process is highly desirable
  • Open source contributions or community engagement is a plus
  • Administrative knowledge of Atlassian tool chain is a plus
