Xbox Studios Global Publishing is looking for an experienced reporting analyst to create monthly reporting packages, game scorecards and analyze telemetry for our Xbox and Windows 10 game publishing business.
This role supports a broad set of constituents that include business management, production, finance, marketing, and our leadership team.
Create and maintain a monthly reporting package focusing on revenue, spend and key performance indicators.
Build monthly scorecards on games that are in market
Create franchise and individual game P&Ls;
Build excel dashboards for quick data analysis and reporting (Xbox and Steam)
Analyze the impact of promotions and price changes on games to gather information for recommendations on pricing strategy
Analyze engagement and usage data for each title to understand how users are playing games, includes in-game raw telemetry and matching against key metrics (like retention/conversion vs win percentage)
Custom SQL queries to provide enhanced BI for business/production decisions
Financial analyst or business intelligence experience of 2+ years
Have experience creating visually appealing presentations from complex and data-heavy reporting
Must have advanced proficiency in:
SQL (preferably TSQL)
The following would be a bonus:
Power Query (and M)
Comfortable deriving and articulating insight from sometimes ambiguous sets of information
Experience pulling reports out of diverse financial systems and combining them effectively
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute analytical projects in a timely manner
BA/BS in a quantitative field such as business, finance, mathematics, economics, or operations research
Not required, but ideal candidate would love playing games and have a keen interest in the video games industry
