Training Content Specialist

The Training Content Specialist is responsible for the creation and maintenance of MINDBODY training materials. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of online courseware, instructor led facilitator manuals, participant materials, presentation assets, job aides, and other learning interventions as required. The Training Content Specialist will develop, construct and evaluate training courses following ISD methodologies to ensure structure, content, assessments, and metrics are aligned with defined learning outcomes and performance objectives. This position works in partnership with the Learning & Development Team under the direction of the Manager, Learning Solutions.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 years’ training content development experience in mid-size organizations
  • Related training certification preferred
  • Experience designing training for software sales and call centers preferred
  • Prior experience working within the software industry is preferred
  • Understanding of ADDIE and Rapid Instructional Design principles
  • Practical application of Adult Learning Theory and learning evaluation metrics
  • Must have an excellent work ethic, be a strong team player and consistently meet project deadlines
  • Possesses a positive and proactive attitude
  • Result-driven mentality and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Work under general supervision to identify and analyze problems
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Must be willing to travel to other MINDBODY offices and attend off-site training programs for professional development and company meetings

Computer/Technical Skills:

  • The candidate must have experience with: learning management systems (e.g. Saba, Cornerstone), instructional technologies (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Captivate, Audacity, etc.); social media and web 2.0 applications such as blogs and wikis; graphic production technologies (e.g. Photoshop or Fireworks); animation development technologies (e.g. Flash); and general productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Preferred candidates will have experience developing and delivering training in an asynchronous online, synchronous online, or hybrid environment; experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Learning & Development team members to create and maintain courseware for instructor led and computer based training courses
  • Develop instructor led instructor guides, participant materials, presentation assets, and other required course materials
  • Use needs analysis to develop objectives, test banks, prepare narration scripts, and develop supporting media
  • Monitor programs for effectiveness and consistency
  • Develop engaging, web-based content for self-directed and micro learning
  • Creates asynchronous training modules, assessments, and other learning activities
  • Work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy of lessons
  • Communicate regularly on all aspects of project from development to delivery
  • Coordinate project tasks with management and team members as needed
  • Acts as an informational source on learning practices and procedures
  • Manage time independently and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines
  • Write articles and presentations to document and articulate work flows, processes, and business changes
  • Take actions that are consistent with goals and objectives
  • Other duties as required
