The silicon computing development team in Raleigh is seeking passionate, driven, and intellectually curious computer/electrical engineers and computer scientists to deliver premium-quality designs once considered impossible. Our team is involved in numerous projects within Microsoft developing custom silicon for a diverse set of systems ranging from traditional computing solutions to the control plane for quantum computing. We are responsible for delivering cutting-edge, custom CPU and SoC designs that can perform complex and high-performance functions in an extremely efficient manner.

  • 5+ years of Nanotime experience
  • BSEE or Computer Science required
  • Experience configuring Nanotime to properly path trace and static time for large, complex SRAM memory arrays
  • Experience with parasitic back-annotation flows in Nanotime
  • Experience utilizing Nanotime in a digital STA flow, complete with integration with Primetime and using SDC constraints
  • Perform accuracy benchmarking studies comparing Nanotime to SPICE simulator
  • Working knowledge of circuit design, SRAM memory margins, layout parasitics and crosstalk effects
  • Drive Nanotime AEs and SW developers to root-cause tool and/or configuration bugs, track ongoing issues in regular meetings with vendor
  • Perform early technology pathfinding studies with Nanotime so as to work ahead of any technology-specific tool issues in new process nodes
  • Create methodology flows for the general usage of Nanotime within a large custom circuit design team
  • Skilled in Python, PERL, Ruby, C, SKILL programming languages
