Hospital systems in the US spend over $600B on pharmaceuticals every year - a number that is on the rise due to unpredictable usage, global supply chain issues, and manufacturing problems, among many other factors. OrbitalRX believes technology and data can help ease the burden on health systems and manufacturers. Our industry-leading drug shortage management application is in use at big-name hospital systems across the country, resulting in data and insights that will have a tremendous impact on the entire pharmaceutical supply chain.

We are seeking a Product Manager to build out and execute the roadmap for our flagship product and to lead the expansion of our product line. In this role, you’ll interact directly with our customers and prospects, gain a deep understanding of our business strategy and technology, and put it all together to drive product development. This is a very hands-on role, with responsibilities ranging from market strategy and user research to creating requirements documents and wire frames for development.

  • Build and own the product roadmap for our shortage management product
  • Work with stakeholders in leadership and engineering teams to determine the best path of execution
  • Execute the product roadmap:
    • Create assets necessary for development: product requirements, user stories, wire frames, and other documentation
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to detail and plan development sprints
    • Communicate with customers to keep them apprised of product enhancements and to measure the effectiveness of product development
  • Gain a deep understanding of our users and their needs
  • Learn more than you ever thought you’d know about inpatient pharmacy operations

  • Competitive salary and incentive stock options
  • Excellent health plan options including full individual premium and deductible coverage via employer-funded HSA
  • 401k plan
  • Unlimited PTO with a minimum
  • Remote-first culture with quarterly on-sites

  • 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to communicate across functions, and translate business language to engineering to design to pharmacy to an investor pitch deck, and back the other way
  • A preference to collaborate as much as possible
  • Ability to construct a mental model of how systems work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with health system operations
  • Prior experience in startups
  • The ability to confidently pronounce words like “Dabigatran Etexilate Mesylate” in front of customers
  • Proximity to Raleigh or Winston-Salem, NC
