Responsibilities

The silicon computing development team in Raleigh is seeking passionate, driven, and intellectually curious software engineers to enable the delivery of premium-quality designs once considered impossible. Our team is involved in numerous projects within Microsoft developing custom silicon for a diverse set of systems ranging from traditional computing solutions to the control plane for quantum computing. We are responsible for delivering cutting-edge, custom CPU and SoC designs that can perform complex and high-performance functions in an extremely efficient manner.

Qualifications

-Experience creating high-performance, low-power standard cells with a broad range of operation voltage
-Knowledge of latch, flop, and other complex standard cell design
-Understanding of deep submicron layout groundrules, standard cell architectures, and digital logic PPA tradeoffs
-Knowledge of DRM, DRC/LVS/ERC checks, Layout extraction
-Experience in PERL, Python, and SKILL coding
-Collaborate with logic and physical design teams to create new cells that provide PPA benefit
-Experience with 3rd-party EDA tools used to create timing models and verify circuit functionality
-Responsible for library releases and revision control
-5+ years of standard cell circuit design experience
-BSEE required
