The Technology Strategist is a senior-level Enterprise Solution Architect with a broad level of experience with Microsoft’s three cloud platforms (Azure, O365 & D365), full stack enterprise application development and modern software development methodologies. The candidate for this role must demonstrate a proven track record of lead qualification, opportunity assessment, opportunity development, proposal development, complex solution design, strategic technology consulting, and ability to maintain high level client relationships with both technology and business client stakeholders.

The Technology Strategist is responsible for influencing sales and revenue in their assigned accounts through prospecting, acquisition, development and expansion of customer relationships and opportunities. The Technology Strategist will work closely with the Avanade Business Development Executives, Market Unit Offering Leads and Regional leadership to develop and execute winning sales strategies, drive proposal efforts, and provide overall technical sales support.

Scope of Responsibility:

- Primary technical point of contact on an account, set of accounts, or specific initiative.

- Recognized as a subject matter expert in an area of concern – speaking and publishing regularly on the topic.

Desired Experience:

- 5+ years of relevant experience.

- Understanding of Microsoft’s three primary cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, Office 365 & Dynamics 365) and Microsoft’s related capabilities including Security, DevOps and Full Stack Application Development.

- Strong experience architecting and building applications to be deployed on Microsoft Azure.

- Experience as a consultant, working with external clients.

- Demonstrated leadership abilities.

- Experience mentoring and/or managing others.

- You are a technologist at heart, who loves to think high-level, while still being able to get your hands dirty when needed.

- Strong 'traditional' computer science and web development foundation.

- Personable, enthusiastic, a strong communicator and detail-oriented.

- Ability to rise to a challenge, think on your feet and problem solve.

- Ultimate diplomat and relationship manager.

- Ability to work in high pressure situations with demanding clients under tight timelines while keeping your cool.

- Flexible to travel up to 25%.
