The Avere Infrastructure team in Azure Storage is responsible for maintaining and modernizing internal engineering tools and environments to support the needs of Avere Engineering teams. The team uses automation throughout both the development and release processes to get the results of a larger team. The team is critical in the process of building the next generation of the Avere platform within Azure, by creating the infrastructure used to scale testing to the capacity required by demanding storage users. It’s an exciting time to join the Avere team in Azure Storage.
For this specific role, we want to find an engineer who is eager to advance devops culture within Avere Infrastructure by making our processes repeatable and integrated with other groups within both Avere and Azure Storage. To be successful in this role, you will need to be unafraid to break things in order to put them back together, and you will need to be tenacious about building trust in the systems upon which the entire organization relies.
1+ year(s) of professional experience developing or supporting development of commercial software
BS/BA degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related discipline
DevOps or continuous integration experience at scale
Experience with typical cloud platform APIs
Experience with Python
Experience with Linux
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
