Engagement Manager/Senior Account Manager, DSP Agency Team
 
Responsible for managing and growing a book of 10-15 Tier 2 agency accounts that leverage our DSP product.  Senior Account Managers provide business consultation, cultivate client relationships, identify business opportunities within existing accounts, and drive revenue by delivering on client and AppNexus business objectives.
 
This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for problem solving and is seeking a role with direct and significant impact on the short- and long-term success of the company. Excellent communication and analytical skills, including the ability to get to the root of a problem, are critical, as is the ability to exercise good judgment independently. The individual needs to be able to breakdown complex technology and explain it with simplicity, as well as liaise with anyone ranging from an analyst to the CEO.
 
About the team:
 
The DSP Agency Account Management team supports a portfolio of 200+ agencies of varying size across the US and Canada.  This team is experiencing substantial growth and is hiring to meet the opportunity. The team drives client success and helps bring AppNexus’ digital advertising products to market while partnering closely with our Services, Product, and Marketing organizations.  Our focus is building our clients’ businesses through leading-edge technology solutions and strategic business consulting. 
 
 
About the job:
 
  • Drive long-term partnership value by developing an understanding of clients’ businesses their technical challenges, operating environment, capabilities and goals as well as the advertising technology industry and competitive landscape
  • Leverage knowledge of AppNexus and Xandr offerings to problem solve with the client and co-create valuable solutions
  • Visit each client at least once per quarter to review product adoption, showcase new or upcoming features, and align on mutual goals
  • Align cross-functional teams and stakeholders in account vision and business delivery; drive indirect (and direct where required) resources through shared goals and outcomes
  • Represent the client needs with other functional teams and provide input to Product to help shape our development roadmap
  • Serve as a point of escalation and resolution for client service issues
 
About your skills: 
 
  • Capable of gaining a deep understanding of technology enabled advertising solutions
  • Ability to excel in a client-facing, consultative role developing complex accounts (previous client facing experience not required)
  • Ability to take accountability, work under pressure, and set and meet deadlines 
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, demonstrating an ability to influence clients and other stakeholders 
  • Innately collaborative; demonstrated mastery of cross-functional leadership
  • Record of going above and beyond
  • BA/BS degree required, STEM degree a plus
  • 4+ years of post-college work experience; work in Enterprise Technology, Consulting, or Finance a plus
