Responsibilities

The silicon computing development team in Raleigh is seeking passionate, driven, and intellectually curious computer/electrical engineers and computer scientists to deliver premium-quality designs once considered impossible. Our team is involved in numerous projects within Microsoft developing custom silicon for a diverse set of systems ranging from traditional computing solutions to the control plane for quantum computing. We are responsible for delivering cutting-edge, custom CPU and SoC designs that can perform complex and high-performance functions in an extremely efficient manner.

Qualifications

- Experience creating high-performance, low-power SRAM memory arrays with a broad range of operation voltage
- Knowledge of design techniques that save dynamic and static power
- Collaborate with logic design and architecture team to create design specifications and features
- Perform pathfinding analysis to determine best SRAM array organization, size, and floorplan
- Well-versed in creating simulation testbenches that stress internal SRAM timing margins
- Responsible for Liberty timing models, post-parasitic simulation, schematic-to-behavioral functional verification
- Experience with Monte Carlo analysis for high-yield circuit design
- Work with DFT team to develop BIST algorithms the fully test for parametric and defectivity faults
- Work in concert with the mask layout design team
- 5+ years of custom circuit design experience
- BSEE required
