Sr. Corporate Accountant

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

The Senior Corporate Accountant will assist in performing multiple accounting functions for Thornburg Investment Management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare accrual and prepaid expense journal entries for month end reporting
  • Review invoice coding for accuracy
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for senior management
  • Prepare presentations for the board
  • Maintain fix assets listing with amortization schedules
  • Reconcile ledger accounts to subledgers or other schedules
  • Assist with tax schedules and tax filings as needed
  • Assist with the annual audits
  • Prepare FINRA filings for broker dealer
  • Other duties or projects within the corporate accounting department as required

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years accounting experience preferred
  • 4 year degree in Accounting is required
  • CPA is a plus
  • Efficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work at computer for extended periods of time.
