As a member of the Surface team, you play an essential role to the healthy growth of the business.
You will create or translate marketing plans for your products based on an understanding of the market, competitive landscape, customer and economic dynamics. You will develop strong partnerships with the other marketing and sales stakeholders to lead and execute the fiscal year local priorities. By partnering with all relevant teams, you will create the most impactful marketing strategy and execution plan, minimizing ad-hoc and un-integrated customer and partner outreach. Your goal is to think and act as “One Microsoft”.
Your responsibilities as a Surface PMM (Product Marketing Manager) include:
Lead the subsidiary efforts to launch new Devices and Accessories in the upcoming roadmaps. Ensure local PR, marketing and sales efforts including Early Adopter Program aligned and ready at announce.
Develop strong partnerships with other product groups like Microsoft 365 Business group, sales team (Surface Solution Specialists, Channel sales team) and external partners like Steelcase, Surface distributors and resellers.
Collaborate with the Surface Consumer team to ensure that plans and offer strategy are aligned.
Deliver forecasting accuracy for demand planning, increasing Surface portfolio sales and premium mix vs. budget. Manage End-of-Life transitions during product launch periods.
Showcase Surface value through marquis brand and customer stories and local commercial digital marketing. Drive marketing efforts including PR, digital, events, marketing automation program to increase committed pipeline coverage and through partner and high-touch sales.
Become the Subject Matter Expert as well as evangelist of Surface portfolio to deliver Surface story to customers.Products included in your responsibilities are all products in Surface brand such as Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, Surface Book, Surface Hub, Surface Studio, accessories and future products. Your key deliverables will include annual marketing execution plan, channel plans, launch plans, internal and partner readiness plan, product content and programs, local customer evidence, and competitive positioning and response insights.
